Dream Chasers & Dust2Diamonds

You ever have those moments that just take your breath away and you get choked up. Not on a special occasion, but just a regular day (for me, running the river trail) and the sentiment of life brings you to tears?

I’ve always been a dream chaser I think. Dreams change, of course, with your season of life…but it was instilled in me at a young age and I don’t think I ever lost it. In my mind I’m still 17 chasing dreams with my high school sweetheart. He’s allowed me to dream. I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom more than anything and I will never forget when he said to me, “This. This was your calling.” It meant everything to me. Because it was. I was meant to be a moma. Watching these two precious souls thrive under our care makes me ache with so much joy. I am a realist, of course. I’ve lived enough life to know it’s not all roses. I remind them often that no matter the big occasion don’t expect it to be perfect. No one can live up to perfection and this is life, it will be messy. But it can be so beautiful at the same time and hold on to that.

When my babies went off to school I dreamed of a side gig that allowed me to be home with my peeps but also the freedom to grow as an individual. I had no idea that dreaming of being a photographer would come true. For the longest time I doubted I was any good. I’m not the best by any means, but I’m done with the comparison trap and I love to see how far I’ve come. I started chasing that dream 5 years ago.

Then last year I started chasing a new dream I had no idea where it would take me. I joined plexus. I wanted to stop living a “kinda” healthy life. “Kinda” reaching my health and fitness goals. I wanted to stop settling, for the extra pounds, the daily naps, the sugar crashes, the mood swings and the overall negative mindset. It had to go. AND IT HAS!

Today. Today I have a family of dreamers. This morning in the car like so many mornings, my kids start sentences like this…”When you become a DIAMOND…” OH. MY. HEART. My kids are dreaming. I’m teaching them to dream oh so big. They’ve seen their moma, just an ordinary moma, chase dream after dream and achieve it, so they believe anything is possible. They’ve seen me put in the hard work, the hours of learning, training and digging deep too. They’ve seen a dream chaser. And guess what? God wants us to be dream chasers! He put it in our hearts to chase dreams. Satan wants us to believe we are content, we aren’t capable or we don’t care. But if you dig deep, you do care. You have a dream worth pursuing. I can almost guarantee two foundational pieces to achieving your dream is probably your health & your wealth. I used to be afraid of the wealth part. It’s a touchy subject that makes it seem like this is one sided. Let me assure you…it is not. Sonya Dudley put it best, “You can’t give what you don’t have. If you have a big heart, you need a big bank account.” So whatever your dream is, it probably takes your health and your money to get there.

What if plexus could change everything?

Our upline team name is Plexus Dream Chasers and today I totally got it. Oh man am I a dream chaser. And you should be too. I know it must get God all teary-eyed to watch his children dream of a better life. A longer life. A healthier life. A life filled with giving, sharing and caring. I have said it more times than I can count, but plexus has helped me be more of the hands & feet of Jesus because I have the energy and resources to do so now.

When Heather & I started brainstorming with two of our rockstars, Heather & Kim, we all settled on #teamdust2diamonds for our name and here is why. God is creating us all into diamonds. We come from dust. Within God’s timing, we will be diamonds. Changing one life at a time. Dreaming bigger than we ever have. Teaching others to dream bigger than they ever have. For their health. For their wealth. For their loved ones.

Whatever you do, keep dreaming. It’s worth the effort!

With all my love,

Kristy
