Welcome to the world, Zachary!

Judy was one of the first people to introduce herself to me when we moved into the neighborhood 3 years ago and had joined the swim team. It made such an impression on me, because as we all know moves are tough. She was so easy to chat with and just made me feel right at home. I think even then she was hoping for baby #3. But the funny thing about these things is it’s always in God’s timing, not ours. The even funnier thing is when God’s timing shows up, we may be wondering what He was thinking! Derrick and Judy had resolved after a while that maybe it wasn’t going to happen and Judy decided to go back to nursing school…and what do you know? She becomes pregnant! Sure, now at this time in their life it took some getting used to the idea, but what a story they have to tell about fulfilled desires!! Zachary is just that. God fulfilling the desires of Judy’s heart. Of the Simons family heart. What a true joy he is! I’ve only had one other baby be so relaxed during a newborn shoot and she was a third baby as well. So mellow, go with the flow, chill… makes me think we should all have 3. 🙂 Okay, maybe it’s not for everyone, but I will say Zachary stole my heart. He has had me reminiscing of days past with my two and wishing time would slow down. Maybe this post will prompt you to go back through baby pictures of your own sweeties and hold them even tighter today… knowing time is fleeting and they truly are a gift from God! Welcome to the world, Zachary!
