Michelle & Tony

Tomorrow, Michelle & Tony will be married for 3 weeks and I know married life is treating them well. They are made for each other. If ever that quote was meant for a couple it was meant for Michelle & Tony. They are both so passionate for life and in love with the people they surround themselves with. You can’t help but get caught up in the genuine emotion and pure fun when you are around them. It’s hard to say what my favorite part of that day was because there was never a dull moment, but at the heart of their ceremony was the blending of two families and their sand ceremony with their children brought everyone to tears. It was just beautiful!

It was such a pleasure to meet the very talented Katie Cotton of Cotton Rouge as she helped get Michelle ready for her wedding day.

The day started with such sweet sentiment…Michelle & Tony had wanted a special quiet moment before the ceremony to pray together. So the best man, Brad led a blindfolded groom to his bride (who also had her eyes closed) for a few minutes of reflection.

The wedding was suppose to be at the Greer City Park under a white gazebo but with threats of thunderstorms and downpours of rain in the morning, they opted to have the ceremony at the Davenport in downtown Greer which is also were the reception was. It’s amazing to see God’s plan play out because when we went to the park for pictures after the ceremony we realized it was packed with high school prom kids. God knew what we didn’t…that Michelle & Tony’s special day of uniting their families was too intimate to be shared with a park full of teenagers. The ceremony was just perfect at the Davenport!

Oh how the wedding party surprised us with the tricks up their sleeves! It was so much fun to photograph this day because everyone was the life of the party!

Michelle arrived at the Davenport in a white limousine and was escorted down the aisle by her son. Michelle & Tony made this ceremony not only about the joining of their lives, but their children as well.

This is the moment I won’t forget from this day…when Tony in the most tender way realized his new daughter couldn’t reach the glass vase to pour her sand in and he gently knelt down with the tower of sand for her.  If their friends and family hadn’t started crying then, they certainly felt a tug at their hearts when Tony lifted the vase in the air as a final sign to the joining of their families.

After the intimate ceremony we decided while there was a break in the rain we would venture over to Greer City Park gazebo and take wedding party pictures. This group isn’t the serious type so this may be just one of a handful we got that day. 🙂

This was more like it…Michelle had no idea her man had been sporting a hulk shirt under his tuxedo!

This is probably my favorite picture of everyone!

I don’t think I’ve met a group of more smooth dancers…I mean EVERYONE had rhythm!

I think one of the coolest things was that although Michelle had no idea about the boys being superheroes in disguise she had chosen a superman garter to wear for the day!

One last picture of the superheroes before the bride and groom depart…
