Happy 12th Birthday, Benjamin!!

My little man is 12. How is this possible?

I feel like we are inseparable…and I love it!! I will never forget how you came into the world screaming and when they laid you next to me,  I whispered to you and you became mine…you were fixed on my voice and this calmness washed over the whole room. You had us captivated ever since. The way your heart is moved to love others and make them happy is endearing. Your mission seems to be to bring joy to the world…and you are rockin’ it Pal! I could not love you more!

At 12 you are obsessed with basketball and video games. Hello Cavs & Fortnite. Sounds about right for a 12 year old boy. You love our family time at night and always want to watch a show together before bed. Hello Hawaii 5-0. You are a morning person, just like your Moma and I love those early hours of sitting outside on the back porch chatting about life. You can talk about anything and to anyone, just like your Grandpa Hendley. You are super smart like your Daddy…you two have all this information about everything under the sun. You have the biggest heart for your Moma and I know you would do just about anything for me. I love that you are always willing to pitch in to make my workload lighter. You have a servant’s heart and it does not go unappreciated. Benjamin, I love you dearly. I’m so thankful I get to call you son.
